Oh my...oh my, I once lived during the reign of this king:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kertanegara_of_Singhasari
Stuff is flooding back to my memory now like you wouldn't believe - stuff I saw...stuff I did...a whole lifetime ago...
*goes off to deal with it.
Quote:
Kertanegara was a follower of a mystical Tantric syncretism of Hinduism and Buddhism, and presented himself as the divine god-king incarnation of Shiva and Buddha. Kertanegara celebrated many religious festivals and commissioned sculptures and metal plaques during his reign.

Now, I recall his death and his son Jayanagara who was called Sundara Pandya Deva who succeeded him...the unification of Indonesia with the Indian Tamil coast before the whole Muslim invasion happened and I saw the beautiful statue that was made of the King in HariHara form...I died in Gajah Biru...
I don't know what I am feeling right now...happy...sad...a mixture of them...all emotions happening at once...
WOW is all I can say.

I’m happy this thread was reactivated ~ kind of pushed me into re-reading the triadic heart of Shiva. I have a pdf.
On a re-study, I find that extracts of text marked originally may or may not seems relevant today and so we mark other affirmations this time around. As the zen saying goes ‘we cannot cross the same river twice’

Quote worthy from the book:
“The Heart of Siva is not a static or inert absolute, however ~ in fact, the non-dual Kashmir Shaiva tradition considers it to be in a state of perpetual movement, a state of vibration (spanda) in which it is continuously contracting and expanding (samkoca-vikasa), opening and closing (unmesa-nimesa), trembling (ullasita), quivering (sphurita), throbbing, waving, and sparkling (ucchalata). The intensity and speed of this movement is such that paradoxically it is simultaneously a perfect dynamic stillness.”
Note to Admins: Less than three sentences!

Essentially recognition of Self, which occurs when identity drops away.
