"How do I emotionally handle information that I don't agree with?" Indeed, how do you handle such information? Let us begin with the general example of comments. If someone comments in a manner that wasn't to your ego's liking, do you instantly feel that you must counter with a "correction?" Do you feel you must defend yourself? Of course, there is nothing at all wrong with wanting to clarify a perception; however, the challenge is whether or not you are trying to clarify or correct the person who commented, or rather that you are wanting
yourself to be more clear. There is a major difference between these two choices! The desire to correct another person almost always comes as a knee-jerk reaction to something that you feel is "wrong," but your Higher Self is always wanting YOU to FEEL more clear and loving
before you choose to physically react or respond to another. However, the Higher Self is very aware that its human self generally is not very centered in its emotional Self-awareness enough to clearly act with the highest of intentions whenever it initially sees or hears something it doesn't like.
Your minds are constantly receiving information, and this information is always colored by your beliefs. For example, even some of the most empowering channeled messages are heavily distorted by the channeler's/interpreter's beliefs when it comes to a subject such as politics. The channeled consciousness or entity is often based in a dimension that is far removed from such dense, competitive gameplay, yet when it comes to channeling specific information about politics it is not uncommon for the channeler to subconsciously insert his/her own strong political bias or favoritism toward a particular politician into the messages. We will not get into politics much in this message here, but will say that your politics is mostly of a vibration that is far removed from true spirituality, which has nothing to do with man-made policies, rules and competitions for gaining the attention of the masses.
Essentially the most empowering of ANY message is its GENERAL MESSAGE of love and Oneness, if such a message is being conveyed. It is usually when
specific information is requested or sought after that the seeker becomes vulnerable to seeing and/or hearing something that he/she wouldn't like. Messages that seem too flowery or "New-Agey" with talk of love and joy are often rejected by those who are accustomed to finding blame and criticism in others and in their world, whereas those who carry softer temperaments and vibrations often seek out such messages for comfort and encouragement. However, just because one's outer personality may generally appear to be sweet and nice doesn't mean at all that the person's deep inner convictions are very loving (and the same goes for messages that speak of love, for one must use discernment), for
Self-love is the most feared gift that most humans avoid giving themselves, and as a defense mechanism the ego often wears a false mask of "selflessness" in order to hide its rejection of true love for Self. Likewise, a person who may appear largely negative and confrontative in their outer persona may inwardly be of a very high spiritual awareness and vibration as someone who likes to "challenge" the beliefs of others. To remedy such imbalances, the key is learning to find resonance and agreement with giving yourself--allowing yourself to feel--more love, and this often takes the form of charity towards others before you learn to give yourself the space and time to simply bask in the glow and Presence of your own Inner Self. Of course, one can be actively involved in both their "inner" and "outer" lives with passion, yet it takes great dedication to the Inner Life of Spirit in order to create this balance.
The way to heal the mind of its imbalances is through giving yourself the necessary time and space to find inner clarity about your deepest convictions, bravely discarding those beliefs that do not give you a true sense of peace. This act, in itself, is an act of Self-love, you see. "Self-love" sounds very scary to most personalities (often as a very unconscious reaction to the concept), but in truth you must eventually realize that
EVERY ACTION YOU TAKE IS A CALL FOR LOVE, period. A great question to ask yourself is,
"Am I really resonating with the information of my own thoughts and beliefs?" For in this manner you take the focus off of concerning yourself with another's information/opinion, and you place the bright spotlight of your attention upon your own ideas to determine how much you REALLY are in spiritual agreement or not with what you
say you believe. Are you willing to simply LET IT GO sometimes, rather than so often feeling a need to "clarify" or defend your viewpoint? This is the test, friends.
Earlier we spoke of the two basic choices you have when choosing to respond to someone/something. You can respond in love or fear. Fear would have you feeling defensive or cowardly (and both are really manifestations of the same essential fear, the same belief in alienation from God and from others), whereas love would have you pause, perhaps take a deep breath or two, find clarity within, and carefully choose what actions to take or words to say. Do you wish to correct another or do you wish to have your mind be corrected by your Higher Self? You cannot really serve both masters, though you may try. The "world of Caesar" is the world of duality, where mastery is seen by the human ego to consist of always being "right." The "Kingdom of Heaven" is where you transcend the polarized thinking of the world and go within to meet your brothers and sisters in Oneness. As the Voice asks in
A Course in Miracles, "Would you rather be right or be happy?" The choice is always yours to make.
We know that at times you do not always feel yourself to be in "total" agreement or disagreement with any particular message, material or infomation, and may like this part but not that part. Again, it is a question of which master you choose to serve: the master of fear or the Master of Love. Love, which is truly Unconditional, knows no real opposite; it sees no "enemy" or opposition to Itself. God is not concerned over any devil(s), so why should you be? The truly wise have learned to surrender such unoriginal notions as "demons" and entities with bad intentions. Yes, in the cosmic drama there are those who play the part, but that is because all souls are actors in this sense, trying out different costumes and roles with their many stories. Do not give so much attention and belief in "evil." Evil is merely ignorance of the Divine Essence of Life; it is no mistake why the English word is "LIVE" backwards. You can only truly LIVE--be
ALIVE--when you reverse your thinking from duality to Oneness, from lack and limitation to Infinite Abundance.
The Master of Love would have you resonate with the Love-Essence in all beings, regardless of how that being acts, thinks or speaks. So what, someone writes, says or does something that you do not like. Are you going to let it ruin your present moment, or even your day? Let us be very clear about this; whenever you feel disappointed about something, it is NEVER "because" of someone or something outside of yourself--
NEVER! And no one is to blame,
EVER! Your job as a Lightworker (or however you wish to perceive yourself) is to learn
Self-responsibility, which means owning up to your attitude, your own emotional state of being, with loving-kindness towards yourself. You don't need to be touchy-feely when it comes to something "someone else" may or may not have done or said. True empathy doesn't require "feeling bad." Generally speaking, those 1% of humans who are at the top of the world's "power structure" have known just how to pull your strings and manipulate world events to get the fearful reactions that they want, in most cases, through the mass media and 6 o'clock news that so many millions feed so much attention into. (This is quickly changing for the better, despite what your media reports, for many more of you are awakening.) Are these humans enemies of "We the People?" "We the People" are souls just like them, who have chosen to temporarily experience duality. Many of you spiritually-mature people reading this are very aware of this, yet continue to choose to perpetuate an "us against them" type of attitude. We are not berating any of you, for recognizing injustice is definitely part of your spiritual development while physically embodied in the Earth plane, and as souls you love to experience the highs of overcoming challenges and reaching heightened levels of consciousness. We simply ask that you remember more often to take PAUSE and REMEMBER that you are ALL playing the same game of duality, each in his/her own unique manner of expression, and that for each one of you it is ultimately a game of
transcending duality.
A major key is not to LOOK for information that may upset you (unless it is an inner Self-observing of your deepest beliefs for the purpose of healing), for quite often this is the case. This is done "unconsciously," but still it is something that must be seen for what it is: a mental program, negative conditioning,
A CALL FOR LOVE. Once you realize that all movements of the mind are calls for more love, you come to a place of greater clarity and
compassion within yourself for your brothers and sisters. Even in these Internet forums it is very common for many to have a fear of reading something that they may not like. Recognizing this within oneself is empowering, because it means more Self-awareness and thus a greater ability to make more conscious and deliberate choices for the better. It is also of great importance to understand that ALL information is equal, meaning that it is all neutral in itself and that YOU give it personal meaning. Along with this it is of great importance to learn that ALL of your viewpoints are equally OPINIONS, period, even your so-called "facts," and this goes for us as well! So many of our human friends are obsessed with intellectual pursuits of determining what is "fact" or not. Once again, which master are you serving in these fact-finding or fact-proving pursuits; ego or Higher Self?
Watch your language, the very words you use. For example, if you often say things like, "I knew it!" Notice the
past-tense of that very common phrase. You didn't say, "I KNOW it," but that you "knew" it, which clearly shows a mind that is holding onto past information, old information, old programming, and using such information to justify something in the present moment. What does what you "knew" have anything to do with you living consciously aware in the present moment? The "you" who "knew" it is not really relevant here, although most humans would disagree with this. You are literally born anew each moment, yet your beliefs often make it seem as if "nothing ever changes," or that change is slow and tedious. It is not. Change is entirely dependent upon YOUR perspective of YOURSELF in your present moment. Many of you in this forum have been noticing many "weird" fluctuations of time, and this is because your consciousness is fluctuating, adapting, integrating and expanding.
In summation, we would ask you not to worry so much about the thoughts, beliefs, opinions and actions of others, and rather be more willing to set shining examples of service to others through learning to connect with the clarity and joy in your own Hearts on a more consistent basis. Your Divine Self loves you beyond conceptualization, beyond "information," and asks you to love and respect all of creation for what it really is:
a clarion call for Divine Unconditional Love! Therefore, give each creation--give each thought--the love it seeks. Go beyond obsessing over a human mind that "likes" and "dislikes" things and Self-realize the Divine Mind that knows only Unconditional Love, and you will discover more and more of that which you
truly resonate with, for
Love resonates with Love, period. Ask more questions of yourself like, "How is MY opinion of this subject affecting my state of being, my attitude? Is it serving me well?" And be truly honest with yourself. Your Higher Self will never, ever--and cannot--abandon you, for you always at least have your present emotions to indicate to you your state of mind and what you are manifesting. How do you emotionally handle information of ANY kind in a healthy manner? You send yourself love through acknowledging and honoring your feelings.
