happiness will be fleeting.... if you are looking for it. it will drive further and further away from you, and you will probably never find it.. because you are looking for it to be a certain way. and if you are looking for it chances are you are looking for something outside of you. happiness must come from within or you will not hold on to your external happiness.

I see two kinds of happiness.

One is dependant on what's going on in my life... a relative sort of happiness.

The other is independent of circumstances and arises in me spontaneously. It's the non-relative type and is the built-in happiness of our true nature.

Still, I don't find it constant in my awareness... although contentment is these days.
