I am lucky enough to live near 2 of the largest body's of fresh water. Lived here my whole life and it still takes my breath away. The pictures i posted above are the lake superior ice caves. One is a frozen water fall. The other a church on top a large hill. Wisconsin is one of prettiest states in the u.s. in my opinion. Were getting near winter thats why there's ice pictures.

The sink hole in the water in the 1st post is the overflow in a reservoir to stop the reservoir flooding. The water is piped to a river near by. There are quiet a few world wide. Still a hell of a picture though.

awesome Hallow,

I lived next to the Great Lakes my entire life( The Michigan end) a good 30 minn drive. They are georgous waters especially up North near Travese City near the sand dunes were the water starts turning clear and reflects a color very similarly to the Caribbean beaches. I never knew how beautiful they were until I moved near the Atlantic and saw how poorly the tourist abused the beaches down here. Such a shame

There's a few "secret" landscapes around here. Wisconsin is a very under rated state as far as nature goes. But we don't mind it. about a mile from where i live there's a beautiful sandy beach that goes along the lake for 10+ miles just the locals really know about. I can go there for hrs an see no more than 2 other people walking there dogs. I love how the lake can change colors buy the hour. Also the weird weather and sights only the lake can make.

Ok so this threads about weird & wonderful natural phenomenon.

In a deserted valley in the USA exists a unique geological phenomenon: fragments of rocks move along the smooth ground without any help, leaving long traces behind.

Northern lights/ aurora lights.

The steep rocks would make a great "extreme" sledding hill.
