Intelligence and Wisdom

Do you think intelligence and wisdom are the same things, or different?
For example, if you have someone who has a lot of wisdom, and they can feel this, and make decisions according to this, are they more intelligent because of this?

Is intelligence something only concrete, logical, and purely focused on the brain's function, Or can it also correspond to the soul's development and what you have learned before?

How I understand it, is that intelligence relates to the brain's capacity to store and recall information as knowledge, while wisdom relates to the practical application or experiential translation of this knowledge into a form which can be utilised for individual expression and spiritual progress.

Wisdom: "Oh yes i can build those things too, but im not going to"

Hello
Wisdom is the “quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment.” Biblically, the fear of God is the very beginning of wisdom Intelligence can help in the accumulation of knowledge, but intelligence does not automatically create knowledge.

To me, intelligence is having information or knowledge of some kind.
Which is helpful in learning something like how things may work or some things about someone, a place, or other things.

Wisdom is knowing and understanding. This to me is not so much gained by the knowledge and/or information gained, but how these are integrated into ones life and used. This seems to come by experiencing someone, a place, or other things. it is gained through living life, IMO.

They do go hand in hand, for without one the other does not seem to serve, IMO

Well said.

I like to say intelligence is knowing of the mind, wisdom is knowing of the heart. Completely agree they are meant to work together, for one without the other will be incomplete.

Maybe we have to differentiate between wisdom, intelligence and knowledge.

Very simply, we could say that wisdom is the science of the Soul, gathered over countless incarnations and experiences.

Knowledge is the science of the mind, based on the accumulation of information and understanding.

Intelligence may be considered as the ability to apply both wisdom and knowledge.

In the esoteric tradition, intelligence also has a specific meaning. So the physical body has its own intelligence, thus it can automatically function, breathe, digest, heal itself, etc, without us having to consciously make these things happen. A tree has its own intelligence, enabling it to grow and put down roots and put out leaves, flowers, fruit etc.

For those familiar with the idea of the seven Rays, wisdom is related to the 2nd ray, intelligence is related to the 3rd ray, and knowledge is related to the 5th ray. Careful study of the seven Rays and their applications can be very rewarding.

Peace.

Intelligence references a basic (innate?, natural?) faculty, a capacity for perception and differentiation between 'this' and 'that'. Everything, including a worm, say, is 'intelligent' to a certain degree, i.e. has a degree of 'ability', or 'capability', in said regard.

Wisdom, i think, references a developed - as a result of intelligently digested i.e. meaningfully co-related and integrated, perceptions (i.e. ex-peer-iences) adeptitude - which enables one to artfully navigate the 'field' of perceptions/experiences in ways that are Life-salutary. There are also degrees of development in said regard.

Think of the arena of 'surfing': the analog to 'intelligence' would be a basic/natural 'sense' of 'balance', and the analog to 'wisdom' would be developed 'expertise', in terms of being able to successfully 'surf' waves (without 'wiping out') in chosen directions.

Any degree of 'wisdom' is 'desirable'. But being very 'intelligent' isn't always a 'blessing'. It is more difficult to (learn to) 'ride' a 'racier' horse. :)
