For those who are looking for evidence of life after death go no further than the fabulous work of Dr Michael Newton PhD. His books "Destiny of Souls" and "Journey of Souls" are a must read for anyone wanting to know about what actually happens to our souls in between incarnations.

He started off as an unbeliever in the after life but after putting a great number of people under hypnosis, he discovered an immense consistency in the details related to him by his subjects. He started off by asking them to recount details of their previous lives and found that they recounted details that they could not have got from books or movies they had seen. He then asked them about what they experienced in the period in between their incarnations and over many, many interviews while under hypnosis compiled a picture of the type and nature of the experiences that these souls had.

Some of the main points:
No soul goes to a hell. If they go to a lower level due to a destructive life, they don't stay there for ever.
They are not judged by God but are lovingly counselled by wise beings.
They discuss and decided on the details of their next incarnation on Earth.
There are many recreational pursuits; it is not all study and learning.
