Cooking with Kale

The nutritional value of Kale is amazing . I just bought it for the first time today, and cooked it up. Little olive oil in medium sized pan, some garlic, placed the Kale in and salted it and cooked it till ready.

Does anybody have any other ways to prepare Kale?

I love your smiling profile pic, Dizzle lol. Yes, I also cook it with Olive oil, sometimes I throw it sauteed in my salads ( I am huge on making salads)

I also blend it in my NUtribullet! Make a smoothie mixing it with strawberries, bananas, You can pretty much making anything with a smoothie blender

I still prefer spinach
:)

I like to blanch kale and broccolini together till its slightly cooked but still has some texture. ...quench in ice water....blot dry with paper towels. ....chop it up...add some walnuts and a little bit of dried fruit like say....cranberries.....and make a salad out of it with a slightly sweer balsamic vinegarette..

Its pretty tasty that way

Thanks Clover! I was browsing the internet, and that picture seemed like a good reflection to how I was feeling at the moment.

Great idea with the smoothie. I might throw some avocado and kale together with strawberries and banana.

my friend makes Kale "chips" in her oven. I'm not sure of the process but they are really good.

I like kale boiled in broth, or cooked in a little olive oil & garlic.

this sounds about right -

Crispy Tamari Kale chips

Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons tamari
2 teaspoons sherry vinegar
1/2 pound kale, coarse stems removed and leaves torn (about 6 cups)
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425°. Combine 2 teaspoons each olive oil, tamari, and sherry vinegar; toss with 1/2 pound kale, coarse stems removed and leaves torn (about 6 cups). Divide kale mixture among 2 shallow baking pans; bake until crisp and golden (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
