Idolizing

Putting humans on pedestals
Idols we lean on, sway towards
Putting energy into one personified being
Attaching dreams and notes to self at them
Creating dramas, frenzied rapture all because of one
One being we aspire to, desire and believe in
Cashing in part of ourselves to 'one'
Believing they elevate us into a world unknown
Into the hidden mystery they long to bring alive
Forgetting themselves as the 'one'
One piece of many parts lost in other ones
Forgetting and believing the external idol
Will fill our needs, desires and that one yearning
For our own one, our deeper connected oneness as one
Our very own one that was within us all along
But we were too blind to see, too closed to feel
To caught up in other ones to be the one..

Hello again naturesflow. Your poem contains intertwined/interconnected themes and concepts I think, which--Imo--become clear in the poem. Thanks again, and thanks also to the poetic form which is able to communicate so much in so concise a manner. petex

Immersed in all sides from all sides..

Life creations in everyway, creating sides and rifts within the one creating
Drop by drop I observe the water fall they either swim in, dance in, hide behind, never mind.
Through the empathic heart, clear open and feeling all, I sink into the very reflections I myself know
Falling down deep into that battle field of messy play with other humans
feeling and not feeling, aware, unaware
All the while I sit in observation mode, wondering, pondering why their words never realize
The full extent of themselves expressing and not expressing but landing in my fall, my water, my emotional space, clear and open, feeling it all
Challenging me to hold my presence within myself
Not hinting at the reactiveness I noticed once upon a time
But hinted towards me by others, moving, squirming, reacting, obliviously aware and unaware of themselves
Key note to self-Be responsible for yourself, all of you, own it all in you
I do
This marriage of myself and life as one source coming together
Through the empathic heart, feeling deeply, open and aware
Having to stand in stillness, aware
I know it leads me to deeper still waters
Never flinching, feeling cold, isolated, alienated
I know myself I know this future scene
Of myself coming home to myself
To all life
Without any hesitation, I march forward
Pull up my socks and get on with it
Rested, regrouping, the grouping of troubled earth
My seeds aware...
