Bad Day at Work

I have been wanting to get to some of the readings I have to do, but it seems that there is "forced down time" happening around me. Something that is strange to me but too I had to look for the root cause. It interesting to step back from yourself and look at yourself from how others would maybe view or read the situation your in.

I want to make sure that some "negative energy" was clear from my path that was work related. Seems I have been collecting some of the negativity that comes with a retail environment in January slow sales times. I wrote a letter to the manager but I feel its one to be "Burned to the Universe" and not given forth. Though it does state the case well of how it feels to work there right now. Too being a former manager I know well that there is always a "Gossip Colony".

I walked out the other day fists clenched and LIVD and really had to take a long hard look at where that was coming from as that is not me. I too never put "everyone" in the same layout when it comes to whom works and whom does not. That is how that day started from a Manager "Everyone" is doing things wrong and not giving customer service. HMMM. I am one of the most thanked employees by customers for service. I am always there, smiling and helpful. Always there on time.....and the first on to help a fellow co worker with a project if need be. Dam I am even there to clan the washrooms when called to do so. Even the POOP all over a change table. LOL now that is dedication I think.

When we have an off day and so do not feel like our self we do need to step back and see where that is coming in from and clear it up. We are a sponge at times for it all to absorb into us.

What is it like when you step back and look at yourself. What do you come to find or maybe learn ?

I learned that when you give some employees new "power" it dam well goes to their heads and they feel like they are not GOD from above. LOL

I feel your situation.

Been there: done that.

but then...... we do need a bad 'hair day' to appreciate the good days.

Just 'hang' in there. Gee, I wished I didn't say that because I hate being 'jerked' around.

Your situation is very familiar. Your taking a step back to gain perspective can help. It is good you expressed it, whether it was to the universe or to management.

I have a friend who says, better out than in.

And if that doesn’t work, there is always the serenity prayer. Sometimes I say it all the way to work. lol.

Sales jobs are hardly ever respectable jobs unfortunately.
They seem to attract narcissistic people because those are one of the few personalities that can hand handle dealing with people all day and convincing them to buy something . Your going to have to not care so much It's hard to do trust me I've been in sales for over 10yrs and I've been blamed and stabbed in the back many times. Just remember that your more then that job and that job is all that they are so don't let it bring you down to its level.

I feel life has a way of showing what is deep down inside of us. The things that are hidden inside of us that haven't been released or even noticed. If you pay close attention especially to that reflective reaction. It keeps us humble. Not much to do other than forgive yourself and feel it through.

Here's the overarching theme I think I'm beginning to understand. The entire purpose of Life, the Universe and Everything is simply to step back and observe.

Conflicts can teach us how to deal with our angers. At least that's what I eventually learned. It doesn't matter that you're right.

I believe the purpose is to learn to create reality, which isn't a passive, but an active purpose. You don't like something, accept that's what it is, and move to creating the reality you want.

i think its good to become frustrated at times. otherwise we wouldn't know one thing from another. without some level of frustration how could we have preferences? without preferences things would be messed up to say the least.
