Is Drinking Haram?

The Holy Qur'an tells us to "stay away" from alcohol. No where it says it is "haram".

Indeed the Quran says also to pray but doesn't tell us the number of rakaats or the method. That is why the Seal of Prophethood (sawas) said we need to hold onto the Quran and Ahlul Bayt (in majority of the sources) or the Quran and sunnah. The latter version of this tradition is only found in one source.

@Sabeel. You post two times about alcohol. You are a muslim? Are you worried? I think that it would be more about getting drunk. That that is not a good thing.

The Prophet pbuh, first instructed man not to come to the prayers drunk later during his revelation it was forbidden.
