I'm reading these books now I'm on the eagles gift, each book in these series gets better then the last. Speaking from my own experience the parts about the tonal and the nagual are completely true ive experienced quite a few times the world of the nagual, everything is different in that world but the same as well. meaning the people you know friends family co workers will look exactly the same and sound the same but there knowledge and personalities can be completely different as if someother version of that person is who your experiencing, they'll know and say and do things that you've never seen them do, the longest ive lived in that world was about the 3 months, but the spiritual police seem to come get me everytime and bring me to the mental hospital, where I get drugged against will, and I'm back in the tonal. IN THE NAGUAL
you can experience what appears to be teleportation, but actually you instaneously travel in positive no time, (time workshops by abrielle jones is a must read for time control) using the nagual I walk to work, its a 20 min walk I leave house at 1 45 pm I get to work at 146, I walked the whole way in positive no time, lets you create more time inside of time to get you on time. these books have helped lots with my questions, and really cool info like the second and 3rd attention having a double just great

When I first picked up one of these books I immediately assumed it was fiction. This attitude of mine didn't change even when I realised later that the intention was that this author be treated as being serious.

For me there has to be substance in words used. Flights of fancy are fine in fairy stories.

Carlos Castaneda and his stories of don Juan brought to me a reality of wonder, magic, and awe. It opened my eyes to new worlds and allowed me to see. I developed many supernatural abilities and forged many alliances with other worldly beings, and beings of this world as well. The knowledge in his books is very deep and ripe with secret knowledge.

didn't like these quotations

"What do you mean?" Genaro said indignantly. "We certainly have. Our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Mother the Virgin, and the little Virgin of Guadalupe. Aren't they our protectors?"
"Fine bunch of protectors!" don Juan said mockingly. "Have they taught you a better way to live?"

(what happened to the native american people?)

"He teaches us the right way to live," don Juan said. "He helps and protects those who know him. The life you fellows are leading is no life at all. You don't know the happiness that comes from doing things deliberately. You don't have a protector!"

"If they were real protectors they would force you to listen," don Juan said. "If Mescalito becomes your protector you will have to listen whether you Iike it or not, because you can see him and you must take heed of what he says. He will make you approach him with respect. Not the way you fellows are accustomed to approach your protectors."

Carlos Castaneda was a fraud. There was no shaman named Don Juan. He made it all up sitting in the university library.
