Reiki and Visions

Greetings!
I am level 2 Reiki. I practice quite regularly on friends and family, it brings me a great deal of joy to do it. I have begun to notice that the people with whom I give Reiki to experience visions during the session. Usually these have been very enlightening visions to my volunteers, however recently two individuals had very dark visions. I send only light and love when I practice reiki and am certain it is not my energy creating these negative visions. Is it a negative memory, or emotion within the chakra that is being released that these two individuals are seeing? Both did not say the visions created fear, however they were dark in nature. I am seeing it as a reflection of a release, or purge of negative emotions, or a negative situation that needs to be healed within them.
Anyone with input would be welcomed.

As visions are our internal view, good or bad this comes from the interpretation of the energetic experience.
Its something with in them, not anything you are doing.

It could be any of those. I haven't had any clients personally have visions during Reiki. However, my first thought was that it was energy releasing in some form; it could be the energy that was causing problems, repressed emotions, or other attachments. Another possibility is that part of their healing that needs to be done involves them confronting and accepting the darker part of their nature. Sometimes, it's necessary for a person to embrace their whole self - dark side included - in order to feel complete. It's possible they may also be a manifestation of their problem, like how the subconscious will create nightmares that symbolize the "true nature" of what the person is feeling; ie, someone who feels they are "drowning" in their emotions may have a dream where they cannot swim. Instead of having that while asleep, they might experience that during the Reiki healing.
