There are a lot of Suttas and some have not been translated into English. Is it possible you can provide a quote from a Sutta?

In the Buddhavaṃsa, Gautama Buddha appears to have met each of the previous Buddhas which in of itself is fascinating.
If you look at the 11th sentence of the part of the Buddhavaṃsa I was mentioning, it claims Gautama Buddha was also a sorcerer during that time period. But then the word the translator translated for sorcerer could have a slightly different meaning.

It is amazing the psychic ability some of the Buddhas had. I have not seen anybody discuss that ability.

Mahayana, Dzogchen.. There have been many Buddhas/Mahasiddhas in the last 1000 years.
Guru Padmasambhava is recognized as a Buddha. Wasn't Bodhidharma an enlightened being?

The way you are progressing, I would not be surprised you will become one of the huge number of Buddhas.
I guess the hardest part of Buddhism is realizing that there are many differing sects.
Recently I was talking to a Japanese Buddhist and the person was surprised that I have several ancient Maitreya statues from Japan.

This reminds me of other religions.
The Supernatural is in many ways condemned by various religions, but if the 'uppers' practice it, it is fully approved and sanctioned.
