Life greets us with a smile
a frown, a squeeze, a sneeze
a big wind, or soft breeze
the gentleness of a soft word
or even the flight of a tiny little bird...

Life greets us with a smile
even if we have to walk a mile
or ten, climb hills
trek the forests, or even pretend
have to mend, or send
Send ourselves to places hard
and walk those yards...

Life greets us with a smile
lifting weights, being late
or even in a chase
Running amuck
driving a mac truck
screaming so loud
we almost burst the clouds....

Life greets us with a smile
the sun rises up each day
it never has to say
those clouds dampen my way
it simply yawns, smiles
and shines itself bright
with whatever is in its sight..

Life greets us with a smile
when the sun goes down
it bursts into glourious colour
at the ending it waits to see
down it goes, till darkness knows
to let the universal sky glow
The moon never pines
for its time to shine
It waits in the wind
for the stars to design
create the space for nights time..

Life greets us with a smile
it can you know
even if life feels dark and slow
just know that in time
the sun in you will rise and shine
and greet you with a smile
that you will get you through those miles
and miles of shadows lurking near
never fear, let the sunshine be clear
Let your smile feel it near...
