I am still new to automatic writing but enjoy practicing it -- feel free to post your findings too!

My name is James. It was through the medium of automatic writing that I discovered the identity of my guide Bartholomew. That was a long time ago. The way it happened was noteworthy. I had been in the habit of keeping a notepad and pencil nearby when I meditated. One day during meditation I suddenly had the strong feeling to pick up these. I did and the name "Bartholomew" was written over and over. the relationship grew and now we are very close. Not much of a story perhaps but the time comes for us all when it is helpful for us to know who our guides are.

The automatic writing changed to conscious channeling after a year or so. Now we are so close that it only requires a breath or two for the connection to be made. When I do posts on this site they really are real time channelings. Thats why I sign as Bartholomew. Nothing complicated about it.

I don't automatic write, I more, take notes from spirit, who speak into my mind, and then I write them down. As my understanding of automatic writing is spirit take you over some, and write through you... Which does not seem like a good thing to allow.

Hey innerlight! For me it is more like what you describe - I don't feel anything "overtaking" me - I feel that I am the one in control - just allowing the thoughts to flow through me by writing them out as they occur.

I feel like it is more "relaying a message" than automatic writing I guess...

I started with automatic writing and let them use my body
They make stuff through me art, and objects

Like one day they where making something I did know what I was making
But it was an alter
I had no need for an altar and don’t worship them we are equal one the same and stopped making it

You are in control and can stop any time
