how to unconditional love

How to love unconditionally

Simple. Choose to.

But...if you want to get into it...let's.
Ps: I'm halfway done with The Apple and the giant Ego post.

Unconditional means no conditions need to be fulfilled.
They do not need to be because one is already fulfilled.
There is no need for conditions.
And from this full state, love flows outwardly to all with no conditions attached or that love needs to be returned.

Why? Because this fullness is always full. The well is infinite.
A million oil tankers could not drain this well.
So it is within the core of each person.
This core, this center of one's being is infinite.
It is from this center that all things are possible.

That which you seek externally, that which you lack, is already within you.
You simply haven't realised it, haven't experienced it, seen it for yourself.
Go inside and you will see, experience, know...that is what realisation means.

And unconditional love will be your constant effortless state...especially toward yourself.
Well, it actually begins with self and then flows outwardly into others.
It begins with self because that's where it's at.

Unconditional love isn't something you 'do'... it's the discovery of what love really is, within your inner being.

I agree, it's something one expresses.
But in expressing love, one is doing.
So I disagree.
The act of discovery is also doing. So I stand by my disagreement.

hmm... my disagreement is that expressing is first 'being'... doing is secondary, and in the case of unconditional love maybe not at all.

~smiles~ As long as you admit there is doing(secondry), then "how to unconditional love" is an apt title to work from.

As long as you admit that doing is secondary, then 'how to' is irrelevant. The 'doing' of pure love is not done by me.

If it were that simple... I wouldn't be here typing this, because the physical (very conditional) part of me wouldn't exist.
ie - If I were starving to death, my priority wouldn't be unconditional love - it would be food! Once I had a full belly, then maybe I could choose more.
Similarly, once one is more psychologically & spiritually aware & taken care of, one has more choice... but still...
We - both the physical & spiritual parts of us - are a package.
Maybe as pure spirits, we not only can love unconditionally, we are a part of unconditional love!
Yet, we play by different rules, when we have bodies.
As discussed before, the challenge is in harmonizing the physical & spiritual.

I do believe loving unconditionaly is the most important ideal to strive for.
And by loving, I mean striving to know & pursue what is best...
whether it's acceptance, appreciation, connection, compassion, discipline, etc.
But nobody's perfect, nor is anyone all-knowing, therefore, sometimes we might not always think, feel or do what's best.
And IMO, we're all connected somehow, so loving involves not only oneself, but also others.
Yet, it seems that even the love of others is often based on self-interest... even if the motive is a good feeling of having loved...
It seems imposible to really love only oneself or only others... we're all connected.

Still, how you describe such deep & infinite love is inspiring!
You've helped me see that all of the highs I've externally sought after, have always been within me.
What does love mean to you, AC?

I agree it's not that simple, Perspective, because we are conditioned to be conditional. The How is by facing and releasing the beliefs, fears and shields against being vulnerable.

And you reveal one of the conditions in your mind... that unconditional love isn't really possible in this human form. But it is.

I know because I've come through that same process of undoing my fears and beliefs to the point where love without terms or conditions flows in and through me.... love for-no-reason, love with-no-object, love Itself.
