The thing is, belief need not be a wager, faith can be a light unto the heart.. if it is false well look inside?.

What needs to be gained is in the now!

"Good faith" liberates the heart from this mortal coil.

But how did you know when something was true or not? What was the state of your mind with regard to the issue at hand?

i tend to believe things if they make me more attractive, happy, fulfilled that sort of thing. but they have to do it at a deep level not just superficially to count. beauty helps too, a beautiful belief is more likely to be true
aesthetic qualities are important, it's a beauty contest
