I have done work using sound to open/activate chakra's. In my research I have found definite frequencies that open the Seven main Chakras, and 14 minor/sub ones.
I have found that main Chakras encompass an octave as well as a frequency and the minor ones below are slightly lower frequencies within that Main Chakra Octave.
The Chakra's I have discovered through sound are central ones. I have not explored chakras that are set away from the central channel.
I have done a subjective form of research so they need to be confirmed through others trying the sound. If people have found specific frequencies for Chakras it would be good to compare and see it they correlate. (So it becomes objective). This is one of the reasons I joined the Forum.
The other reason is that talking about this stuff can really help in forming ideas, and inspiring new lines of thinking about spirituality/metaphysics.

it's funny you should mention sound frequencies to open chakras, I used to go and see a jazz band near me every tuesday, and while sitting there listening to the music I would feel my chakras vibrating as a direct result of the frequency they were resonating at...I was in a relaxed state of course.
I remember the drums used to awaken them and get them vibrating....so as to exact frequencys I can't help you with that, but the percussion certainly got them going!
so your definately barking at the right tree in your research.
