It looks very much like how calcite grows, including the layer underneath and on top. So I think white dogtooth calcite.

I'm also leaning towards Calcite. If you want to be sure you can chip off a little piece and put it to soak in vinegar. If it's dissolving and feel rough to the touch after a few days it's Calcite. If there's no change it's probably Quartz.
