I just had the weirdest experience while meditating about my past life?

I read online about how to meditate and go ask advice from your past life. I've had past life regression done on me and the life that I remember very vividly is the one in Ireland in the 1800s. I was the daughter of a wealthy Catholic family. I actually wonder if this was my happiest life.
Anyway, I remember vaguely my past life going through a similar experience that I am now. I looked up how to meditate and talk to my past life self because I wanted to get her advice. It was so weird though. I closed my eyes and was sitting in a chair then all of a sudden, I was visioning a room I looked around and there was this old looking calendar and the date read 1828. It was an older looking room that looked very familiar. I looked on the bed and there was an old journal, I do remember I loved to write in that life, just like I do now. I saw an old looking globe too but that's all I can vividly remember. Has that ever happened to you or was I just imagining things?

I wish I could too. Have you been meditating for long ?From where did you get the past life reading?

I haven't been meditating for long, I'm relatively new at it but maybe with more practice I can get used to it. A few years ago I had really bad anxiety and depression so a friend of mine recommended a place I go and get hypnosis. My grandpa had it done and it worked for him so I thought I'd try it out. I went to place in Nashville (where I live) and I saw she did past life regression. I had always been interested in that topic so I went ahead and had one done. She was great at what she did and I got so many answers! So now I'm wondering if I can talk to and get advice from my past life self

Hello :) Nice story and I am glad that your moving past some of your current obstacles. For people it doesn't matter how long or short you have been meditating in order to have results. Depending on you and a whole lot of factors you may be able to achieve different levels quicker or slower than others.

I think you saw bits of a past life come to you to give you assistance but lets look at it objectively from a right brained perspective. Where would these images come from? Why so specific? Usually as a divine spark that is you, you will have a set of skills and things that your passionate about and will always be passionate about. So you maybe do many variations of the same thing but in different circumstances focusing on certain aspects of soul growth. As far as talking to your past lives... that is possible and that is why many times they reach out to you so that they can help you, teach or show you something of relevance.

Once you really get into it you will find out that all of these lives are technically happening all at the same time and that you would be able to communicate to each of these different beings that is yourself. This is what you call ego... the being that is in that specific time that acts and does things specifically to that set of interactions through their environment. Know what I mean?
