What I'm reading now...

Most currently available books on astral projection focus on recipe-like techniques for getting out of body. This book is different. It explains how to develop the inner senses that underlie every phase of astral projection, from getting out of body to perceiving and interacting with the scenes and beings we encounter on other planes.

"The Multidimensional Human: Astral Projection as a Spiritual Practice" is intuitive, holistic, and experiential. By intuitive, I mean it addresses the development of psychic or intuitive abilities available to all of us, simply by being human.

As human beings, we’re multidimensional. Every one of us has access to a number of energy bodies that function in various physical and nonphysical planes or dimensions. Familiarity with the powers and limitations of these energy bodies is essential for exploring our multidimensionality.

Each energy body comes with a set of inner senses. If we don’t know how to use these senses we can’t perceive the realities we visit, figure out what plane we’re on, travel between planes, or meet and interact with the nonphysical beings we encounter there.... The key is to develop the senses that come with our energy bodies.

Yes, I have already read this book several times and a lot of my beliefs regarding astral projection and subtle bodies originate from this book. You already have said you don't agree with us having several subtle bodies so it will be interesting to see how you process this book because most of his theories and hypotheses about astral projection and lucid dreaming are based on the fact that we have several subtle bodies.

Are there anymore free pdf books like william buhlman's adventures beyond the body? I found that really quite fascinating.

Hiya peacegarden...

One of the first books I read. Very down-to-earth and non-mystical.

I've read Kurt Leland's book. Didn't quite rez with me, but I did like his thoughts surrounding private/public astral places/spaces/states of mind. Such that, if you find yourself in a public place, such as a train station, shopping centre and the like, you may be in a non self-created 'place'. If so, it's certainly worth being more observant to those around you, and indeed the environment itself. And I also loved the tall characters - and what they might represent.

Personally I really enjoyed his book. I think he approached astral projection from a very intellectual perspective and did not try and simplify something that is not simple and should never be served in that manner in my opinion. His reasons behind why someone has a difficult time leaving the RTZ, or their body I have found to be some of the best and after much work and testing I have no doubt he is at least close to being correct. To each their own though.

Hiya Astral Explorer

Fair comments. I have the book so maybe I'll give it another read. It could be that I just wasn't at the right time/place for it back when I first read it. I do like a good read about projection...whatever the approach. I bought Sylvan Muldoon's book (god, it was expensive) a few years ago and really enjoyed that.
