I agree that talking without any real purpose can be a waste, but sometimes it's more about the experiences you share with someone. If you're with the right person or people for that matter they can expose you to new ideas you may not have thought of.

What do you mean by inner work? Thanks.

As far as I can tell, we're only able to have conversations with those who are resonating a similar level of awareness to you given the context of the conversation. Even those with whom I've met and spoken with a strong spiritual background may not understand the exact path of your experience but they are intrigued. The point being, people are out there. Will you learn alot from them, who knows. But I look at it like meeting people here, each interaction has a meaning.

yeah I guess if i could actually share experiences with someone that would be something. I haven't met anyone that would work with yet though.

I interpret this as someone wanting to bring changes about in themselves,
emotional balance, attitude, motivation, level of optimism -
what some here call "raising vibrations" LOL.

The problem is how to go about it. Some achieve success but it really needs
two questions answered: what do they really want? And is the change feasible?

There isn't much sense proceeding without those questions answered.
A lot of people turn to modern-day spirituality that SEEMS to provide quick, easy answers.

What I mean is being in a relationship with ourselves and giving ourselves what we need: love, friendship, kindness, care, etc, instead of looking for that outside of us in friends, family or lovers.

I went through a long period where I felt I needed to be on my own and give all of that to me. It was not the time to meet new people and make new friendships, it was the time to be with myself.

Now I feel I am whole by myself and can now open up to the world, meet new people and make new friends that are on the same vibration as me.

Oh. I definitely have that part covered. I can spend months alone without any problem. If anything I have had to work at being more social. The one major lesson I have had to learn is to not waste my time with people who are not on the same wavelength as me.
