In the bible--- speaking in tongues was one speaking a foreign language they didn't understand, but the listener understood--- it is NOT-- the mumbo jumbo done today. |

in the bible i have that is translated from Aramaic. it says that it is diverse tongues. meaning someone who speaks more than one language.

I never have. I have the Gift of Tongues and pray in tongues everyday...
it is magical and transforming ...what is going on?

It is my impression as well that "speaking in tongues" meant that listeners with different languages could understand what was being communicated. I too am puzzled by the "mumbo jumbo" called "speaking in tongues" that is done today and which no one understands. |

You may be in a saved position, but one must endure until their end being in that position--it can be lost-Matthew 10:22--Endure what exactly??? When one reads the bible a few x, they come to the sad realization that throughout the majority of mortals being--99% have been mislead the majority of the time. |
