I do like it :)
I have btw also a rough sunstone, and OMG!! That is so yummie! But that's more deep orange, the coloration in the sphere is a
deep, darker brown bronze. (new bronze looks very much like copper or gold).

YOurs looks pretty amazing in that light! Does it make it transparent? Or is it a change in colour?
It would be interesting to find out what the bronze parts are made of. I'm always interested in matrix material too. I just bought a little piece of Tugtupite and I'm trying to find out what the white and black material is that it is embedded in.

My pendant of Iolite is transparant when looking at it from a lighted background but appears to be black when not backlighted. Very much the same as Apache Tear Obsidian in a way. When backlighted the color shift can be very easily seen when rolling the stone. Pretty amazing property of Iolite.

Maybe it is easier to see when it's a smaller, thinner piece? Would you need to backlight it to be able to see the colour shift? (I didn't think so though?)
If so, then it is impossible as my sphere is 5 cm diameter. Or maybe yours is a better quality. I read that makes a lot of difference when it comes to this colour change.

I don't know what the bronze parts are.

I have another pendant of Iolite that is way thinner as my latest one and it doesn't need backlighting to see the colour shift as it can easily be seen in daylight. I guess it really depends on the thickness of the crystal and the saturation. I have also some Tourmalines that need backlighting and some that don't at all.

Large 515 carat green tourmaline. I bought this from one of my regular Chinese vendors for a crazy price but it was mined from Madagascar.

For my wife's tourmaline collection, but she doesn't know she's getting it yet

That are some seriously beautiful Tourmalines.

I bought a Welo Opal pendant with lots of flashing reds and oranges.

Well, I thought it would work with a couple of crystals but that failed. It's much better on it's own. Phew.

I just ordered a Eudialyte pendant. It will take a while to arrive.

Ooh, those are so pretty! Most everyone's stones and crystals are so pretty! But I just showed that to my husband and said "Ooh I want one!"

I found this rock in the garden yesterday, where I was planting a little sunflower who's been feeling a bit under the weather. Would make a good little skipping stone, but nah, I'm gonna keep it. Photo taken on a white porcelain background, with my left hand for comparison.
