As prog rock faded away over the years a new sound came along; prog house. It's just as good as prog rock ever was. That too is fading away now.

I'm into a few the bands mentioned here, some more than others but my musical catalog is currently expanding. I'm quite familiar with Tool and Pink Floyd and Radiohead but not as much as the first two. Also though I am familiar with Genesis and Yes I can't say I know their music as well as I would like but I do have their albums, just haven't gotten to know them yet but what I know I really enjoy.

How about Hawkwind? They are a blend of progressive rock and psychedelia. 'Space Rock'.

Prog faded but it has made several comebacks and is now as popular as it has been in a very long time. The rumors of it's death have been greatly exaggerated as there are many modern bands making music in this genre.
