I too have sleep problems sometimes, but have managed to get out of body numerous times. The desire to do this has to percolate right down through your subconscious, and you have to be really relaxed. It'll happen. Give it time, don't give up.....and don't try too hard! Strange as that may sound, lying there willing and trying, and almost fighting to get out doesn't work. Let it flow....

Hmm, okay. what i normally do is lay on my back and listen to binaural beat theta waves. i focus on my breathing and start to meditate. i get relaxed and try to stay focused, when thoughts come i push them away and go back to focusing on my breathing. do i keep focusing and meditating until i start to feel vibrations and then perform a projection technique? should i try this early in the morning, around 5 am too?

The reason it's in quotations is because I'm talking about a different sort of thing, not the vibrations you feel during sleep paralysis. Anyway, the basic concept behind my advice is to work on your intent behind astral projection. It's not just a way to go visit the pyramids and do whatever. It's also a way to deeply understand the oneness of everything and grow and learn spiritually. Astral projection will happen when you are ready. Focus on meditating for the sake of meditation. You will get there.

Yes that does seem like better and more pure intentions. I would feel much safer doing this during the day though.
