Yttrium Fluorite

The Stone of Psychics
Also Known as Lavender Fluorite. This form of the fluorite has a percentage of calcite that has been replaced by Yttrium, a rare metal. This translucent gemstone resembles lavender jade.

That's a really pretty stone. Lately I have been working with green fluorite cabochons. But I have a few fluorite octahedrons in various colors. I don't think I have fluorite that's quite this shade, though -- darker purple, yes.

Very interesting. I'll have to keep an eye open for this variety of fluorite.
