2 crystals chose me unexpectedly... suggestions?

I recently purchased two beautiful specimens of raw rose quartz online, believing them to be stones that would sit in the palm of my hand. When they arrived in the mail, I was completely taken aback: both crystals were huge---8" x 5" and very weighty. I feel like the universe is trying to tell me something by sending me such large rocks! Since these crystals are not what I was expecting to work with, I feel as if I must alter their purpose to respect their stature and beauty. I am so excited they came into my life, they are transfixing to look at and definitely inspire love and reverence in me for them!

Any suggestions for working with big rocks would be so warmly welcomed. I am planning on bathing with them for sure.

Bathing is a great idea! Most of my bigger crystals I keep positioned around the house, corresponding to their energies. I'd suggest doing so! One on your bedside or near where you sleep maybe, I have a amethyst chunk watching over me always.

Those sound really gorgeous. :) If they're a bit too big to work with while handling them, just having them in your energy field while you work will help matters. So keep them close by while you do the things you'd intended to do, like meditate or sleep.

And if your intent was to have some portable Rose Quartz, the good news is that's easy to come by. I'd say that tumbled stones are most likely going to be small enough to carry. I've never seen a huge tumblestone. Just verify their size so you know that they won't be too TINY to keep track of. For quick metric conversions, 25mm = 2.5cm = not quite 1 inch.
