Half Human Half Ape Embryo

I find this disturbingly wrong. Below are some news that were published yesterday, so that's fairly new. They also claimed that they did a half human half chicken embryo, aside from the half human half chimp embryo.

So if it hypothetically succeeds what would happen to the spirit? What spirit would come to inhabit that body? A 2D or a 3D one?

This puzzled me " The team claim to have created mechanisms to avoid the creation of brain cells - dispelling fears the hybrids could have some human consciousness. " He said: "What happens if the stem cells escape and form human neurons in the brain of the animal? Would it have consciousness?

It is said that in the latter days of Atlantis the scientists of that time did all sorts of experiments to create human/animal hybrids. That did not end well. The pursuit of knowledge without wisdom or love is a risky endeavour.

The Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness was publicly proclaimed on July 7, 2012, at that university.

The scientists behind the declaration wrote, "Convergent evidence indicates that non-human animals have the neuroanatomical, neurochemical, and neurophysiological substrates of conscious states along with the capacity to exhibit intentional behaviors. Consequently, the weight of evidence indicates that humans are not unique in possessing the neurological substrates that generate consciousness. Non-human animals, including all mammals and birds, and many other creatures, including octopuses, also possess these neurological substrates."

They could also have included fish, for whom the evidence supporting sentience and consciousness is also compelling (see also). And, I'm sure as time goes on, researchers will add many other animals to the consciousness club.
