Excellent taste in music Soul Searching !
Have you heard Lady D'Arbanville ? by Cat Stevens ? a bit haunting, but I like it. Of course sounds better with the music playing

Yes its a beautiful song Dream Angel ..... the man sings poetry 
Another favourite of mine is Morning Has Broken.
We played this at my mums funeral, as she loved it, but whenever I listen to it since then, it doesn't make me sad .... quite the opposite.
It is such a joyous and uplifting song, and his version is, in my opinion, perfection.

Yes, he does Soul Searching. I like most of his songs, very beautiful.
"Morning has broken " is one of my favorites, a lovely song for your mom. I am glad that it brings good feelings to you and not sad ones. 
ok, my song for the moment "Great Memory " by John Michael Montgomery
sometimes one just needs a little country music, and he's the one ! My other favorites of his are " Life is a Dance " and " I love the way that you love me ".
