Being an attractive young lady has its benefits -

I like being a male of average looks in this incarnation. Like today, I went to the supermarket, then to Walmart...it was like I was invisible. Not one person looked at me or paid me any mind. There is a certain freedom in that. Celebrities often go crazy because everywhere they go, they get attention from others. I don't think being a young attractive female would be easy in this world if you attract unwanted attention or looks.

I think I have been attractive (while young) and female in past lives, but yea I don't think it is easy. I have a friend who is young, female, and attractive, and a few times she has asked me to walk her home at night as she didn't want to walk down the street from her car to her house alone as she saw some guy sitting in a car nearby looking at her.

I think males take it for granted that life is a certain way, when really it is different for everybody. Like if I want to walk several blocks to redbox in front of 7-11 and rent a video at midnight on a Saturday night, I don't think anything of it. I just happily go, rent the video, and walk home. I have zero fear. It's not something I ever think about. But for my young attractive female friend, she has to think of it all the time. She has pepper spray on her key chain. I've never thought about having such a thing.

Then something about the original post, males really don't get pressure to be dating someone from their peers. A male can be single and nobody bugs them about it. They are not really judged on it. I think females are judged more if they are single, especially by their girlfriends. So maybe more pressure is there to be in relationships a lot.

I'd say it is hard to "be somebody else" because this culture and society judges us on how we look. We can change our personality, learn to be nice and kind and giving and unselfish, change our desires and understanding of things, stop judging ourselves and others, there is a lot we can change to make our experience different, but out there, humans will still see us and act towards us a certain way because of the body we have and how we look.

But everything is temporary. Nobody is young and attractive for very long. We all get old and age and look like every other 80 year old eventually if we are lucky to have a long life. Then we come back and may be male or female, whatever we choose. Some choose to be some alien species as well on some distant world or in a different dimension.

A splendid post and I think you make loads of key points. Truly, that sounds pretty blissful to me...being able to go unseen and unharmed in many situations.

At least half the population doesn't have the option of being an average male (a very modest judgment BTW as you seem quite thoughtful to me, at least)
and being more or less able to do as you please in many settings.

Agreed full stop...
Yes, if we're lucky, we'll all make it to 80 or 100 or something gray and wrinkly...

But in the meantime, we have to contend with loads of (often salacious) judgment regarding appearances and you're so right...it's very tiresome and issues of safety are always in the back of one's mind.

Peace & blessings

TBH...aside from having a child, and significantly expanding my spiritual balance, resilience/strength, and my other gifts (we all have them)...

...being a woman day-to-day is a real pain in the rear when societies are relatively imbalanced and spiritually unevolved, LOL.
This is 3 lifetimes in a row, as I can recall, that I've been a woman.

I may need a break from it for a while till humanity gets its poop together and things are further along, hahaha!

Peace & blessings
