Hello from the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York!
I've meditated on and off since 2011 and recently rebooted my practice, this time delving deeper into the philosophical underpinnings of the practice.
My practice includes a basic Vipassana technique, mindfulness of sound and choiceless awareness.
The reason I'm here is because things started getting interesting a few weeks back and unlike anything I experienced during my previous stretches of practice. Twilight Zone unlike!
I'll start a thread in an appropriate sub-forum and elucidate.  |

I posted a high-level outline of my experiences under a thread titled "This will probably sound crazy but... " in the meditation sub-forum.
What I'm struggling with most is not coming off as boastful or worse (proselytizing). I just feel a burning desire to let it all out. Like it's building up within and I'm ready to explode. I already made the mistake of sharing with a friend I thought would be receptive, but I got the distinct impression it didn't go well. I'm hoping this will be a better venue towards that end, but feel free to believe or disbelieve, accept or dismiss, even think I've lost it. It's all okay and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't have believed it a month ago and would have thought the teller was being boastful or attempting to manipulate me into his/her way of thinking of such things.
Don't take anything I post as invaldating your own beliefs, experiences, practices, etc... There are many different paths and we all should follow the calling of our own hearts.
