Following an old man with a torch

I had the most mystic dream for me ever!
I was sitting with some friends, talking, laughing.. I told them an old man would soon come and pick me up.
He came, wearing a long coat and holding a torch in his hand.
I didn't know him but I felt I can trust him, he seemed so familiar, like we 'knew' what this is all about.
I followed him on rocky paths in different dark caves on a mountain.. it was already dark outside..
Before entering every cave I was exited, but not scared.
Entering every cave, it was absolut dark, we had the torch but there was no light..
We stayed there in the darkness for a few moments, waiting and listening.. Then a voice said something , like answers of not even asked questions.. we would listen and then leave..
The same scenario in every cave.. it was like a ritual.
I don't remember what the voices said, but when leaving the caves I felt like " alright, got it"

I felt save the whole dream.. I woke up feeling light , blessed and like wow!!
This was a really deep dream!

Would love to hear some opinions.. what do you think about this?

I see this as maybe a bit of a foreshadowing dream. Soon you will be confronted to go deep and learn about your hidden self. Mountains are seen as our challenges in life so possibly a quest to understand those same challenges more deeply. You may be going in blind unable to see the point maybe being rely on your hearing more than sight because there will be someone guiding you and possibly they will whisper wisdom to you that will require your stillness and attention to hear. I do suspect this is a spritual journey of getting to know yourself and begin your life goals. Sounds like you are ready.

the 'old man with a torch' was likely to be your higher self understanding,
wise and trustworthy. you'd anticipated his arrival, which displays an innate
understanding existing within you.
i'm thinking that the journey you'd taken with him was exploring the
past life lessons you've accumulated through multiple incarnations.
all of those learnings are available for you to make use of currently.
it's as if you've become the embodiment of all your prior lifetimes,
joined together in a single form, now.

Thanx for your reply. I'm definitely on my way of self discovery and I am somehow 'blind' as I don't know exactly what is coming. But that's ok, I learned on my way to just trust the journey. 😊

Hm that sounds wonderful , I didn't consider the higher self possibility!
But now that i read it, it's definitely possible. Trusting myself is also a big theme I'm working on for a while now.. thank you 😊
