irritable after giving
Hey,
I just started up my business in reiki. The first couple clients I had I felt pretty good after and really excited. The last one I had the session went really well and I could also feel myself receiving the energy too. But after my client left, I noticed that I felt really irritable, crabby, tired. Now, I did work a long weekend at my main job and may just needed some extra self-care and sleep. I also didn't eat anything before I gave the session. I make sure that I am just a clear channel for reiki and universal love and that I don't give any of my own energy away. I ground and put protection up.
Any thoughts? Maybe I should start eating before sessions? Keep my schedule clear to rest if I've worked many hours at my other job the days before? Maybe I picked up my client's stuff?
What are your experiences and do you have advice or input?

Irritable. Means you have lack of energy. This happens when you heal while unbalanced. Very perceptive of you: Now, I did work a long weekend at my main job and may just needed some extra self-care and sleep. When we forget to take care of ourselves, we have very little to give to others. When we then give that away we run our head against an invisible wall. That is very irritating A little secret here is that you are always giving away your energy; the good news is that you have limitless energy to take from. So it is not that you lost too much energy, it is that you overcharged your circuits... thus afterwards felt a lack of energy because your system no longer were up and running full speed.

This resonates so much! It's definitely self-care. Alright, I'll remember this when i schedule and offer out my hand :). Thank you!!

Your welcome In time you will feel less exhausted from work, and more capable in giving, if you keep practicing first taking care of yourself. At some point healing others will be as much a way of taking care of yourself, as it is helping others. It is something about rather than trying to lift them up, you begin to lean on them for the support you need to take care of them. It is this amazing symbiotic thing, where when you see them as fully capable of supporting you, then they begin to heal naturally on their own in your caring presence

I also think it might have to do with you not being grounded enough. Before starting treatments you have to adequately ground yourself so your clients energy won’t interfere with yours, energy will flow right into the ground. 😃

Irritable means you have become in some way depleted. Examine your technique. I don't know Reiki as such, but I have learned to understand quite a bit about my energy.
Feeling irritable is instinct telling you something is out of harmony for your own good.
