Spicy/Acidic food and effect on life

Hi,

So according to my knowledge through various sources, I have come to belief that the natural
state of the body as it was intended is an alkaline-based organism and when acid is introduced
through microbes and bacteria, it is usually when the vibration/soul has left the body and
the flesh has become acid-based is ready to return back to mother earth.

This would seem to hold true for a lot of illnesses as well. The body has lost it's vital vibrational
level and foreign agents are attracted to the body in order to break it down.

A lot of the raw vegan diets seem to be more alkaline orientated also.

My question is, through use of spicy foods and acid-based diets, are we encouraging
the body to go into a state of disintegration back to mother earth?

i would say yes to the question. what is acidifying and/or alkalising to one person may not be to another. all depends on your intestinal integrity is my experience.

the best way, imo, to eat a non acidifying or alkalising diet is to follow the tenets of the "hay diet"; which doesn't mix concentrated starches with concentrated proteins---like fish and potatoes or chicken and rice etc. great for indigestion too. also cook from fresh and eat organically.

personally i would never go raw or vegan, maybe vegetarian if i was healthy enough.

I wonder how disease like Crohn's or Colitis would fit into that theory.

hey man, be more than happy to..seein as its your thread i'll feel free to go off topic. books, my faves are:

Krishnamurti's Notebook : a truly remarkable journal that talks of the of states of consciousness, the pain he suffered daily, meetings with some entity mysterium he called the otherness, descriptions of nature interlaced with insights derived from all of those. quite contraversial when it first came out.

Commentaries on living : there are 1, 2 and 3 in this series and they're all pretty good. one of them is worth a look at least.. like the notebook above, it is wrtitten down by hand, rather than like most of his books which are transcribed from recorded conversations. he claimed to never know what he going to say before a talk or when he sat down to write, so they both have a fresh quality.

Freedom From the Known : fairly small book that gives "the teachings" in a short direct and to the point way. known as the best krishnamurti primer.

The Awakening of Intelligence : larger book that contains talks with swami's and buddhists i think. delves more extensively into the perrenial wisdom.

The Ending of Time...with prof. david bohm...great book.

the auto biographies by mary lutyens The Life and Death of Krishnamurti and pupul jayakar -Krishnamurti: a biography, are very interesting reads.

free ebooks http://www.messagefrommasters.com/Eb...urti-Books.htm

good youtube vids

Krishnamurti at the United Nations http://youtu.be/dMbmHTy-OQE EXCELLENT!

the other youtube biography/documentary not in my signature http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQg3nbECf8Y

the last talk he gave http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9CF5A0AB9418CE97

hope that helps

i would guess that folk who have either of those would more than likely be acidic in the tissues. someone with crohns would be less able to process food as it should be, and any thing thats not processed properly, regardless of how healthy its supposed be, will degrade to acids. gluten, dairy, cruciferous, nightshade and raw are generally least well tolerated by folks with crohns (assuming the food is organic else anything can then be problem). they would also benefit from the hay diet imo. the reason low g.i. diets are gaining popularity (in reality low g.i. means normal g.i. and not super high like most folks) is because its sugar and starch that is most apt to ferment foods and hence degraqde them to an acid.

Certainly maintaining a correct acid:alkaline balance is essential in the quest for good health.

Degenerative disease, from arthritis to cancer, has its roots in an acidic state.

Thanks for the book recommendations vecta.

I suppose this is not so much a discussion as what acids or alkalines are good or bad for
the body, more a discussion on the natural process that the body goes through
when interacting with acidic agents and foods and whether you agree or disagree
with my hypothesis.
