Reiki compatibility with Christianity

Well Lynn, I follow your recommendation and I would like to ask other opinions about the compatibility between Christianity and Reiki practice as well New- Age alternative therapies. Why? Because I'm in the middle of nowhere, I feel huge enlightening inspirations, much energy flowing through my hands and struggling to stand against it..

Christianity and Reiki are not compatible on a fundamental level. The American Catholic Bishops conference prohibited the Reiki practice for that reason.

However, even in this forum the knowledge of the philosophical underpinnings of Reiki, and/or Christianity is so poor that it is mostly pointless to want to have a conversation about the differences.

Many Christian so desperately want to be Reiki practitioners or recipients that all arguments are simply ignored or countered with excuses, evasions, etc.

What is said here also applies to Yoga, Qi Gong, and many New Age practices, IF they are practiced in the manner they are intended by ancient traditions.

I'm catholic. I'm also certified a Master/Teacher in Reiki.

I'm compatible with all religions as i find truth in all of them.
those that follow those religions and bend them to be what they want.
they always dont find me compatible. but I'm not here on earth to please anyone but myself.

And more importantly I'm not here to heal those that don't want healed.
You could come to me and claim to worship satan and i will still offer my help if your asking for it. An extreme example i know but its true. I try not to judge another for their belief's. and try to keep my beliefs to myself unless asked to avoid the same.

And the fact that you're asking this question and feeling the way you do indicates to me you're far from "in the middle of nowhere" you're exactly where you're supposed to be. Questioning everything leads to understanding self! Never fear that.
