Great album.

Check out Two Hunters, it's their best. Black Cascade is also fantastic. Their first LP is stellar too, though a bit more hit and miss and the production isn't as sharp.

My CDs have arrived. So far I've listened to some of Inkubus Sukkubus album. All I can say is wow! Amazing music. I wish I had heard of them earlier. The album is called Science & Nature.

Wolves in the Throne Room are next on my to play list.

The Wolves in the Throne Room album is also great music. A bit dark for my taste but exceptionally well done.

My favorite black metal album is an old school one. Gorgoroth's Antichrist. People talk about classic rock being better than new rock, that sounds like classic rock to me. Sweet candy to my ears.

I listened to 3 songs by the Wolves which I found on youTube and cannot fathom what would be spiritual about them. The Cleansing sounds to me like a poor copy of Enigma and the Queen of the borrowed light sounds like industrial noise.
Can someone explain to me how dark music can be uplifting?

.....good question which I cannot answer. If you read the reviews for the Wolves albums on Amazon you get a good idea of why people love this music. Try Amazon UK, the reviews are enlightening. I have not read the reviews over at Amazon USA.

Everyone feels and perceives differently. To me american country music is dark, but some people find it uplifting. Black metal style sounds soothing to my ears.
