Fairy Dance

Once, in twilight dreams I did perchance
Catch dazzling lights across my glance
From swirls of flight I was lost in trance
While gazing upon a Fairy Dance.

The air was filled with flutter and grace
Laughter glowed on each tiny face
With yearning delight my heart did race
While swooning over each delicate embrace

In breathless awe I watched the scene
While merrily about they prance and preen
Till morning glory trumpet announced the Queen
With her elegant poise and face so serene

After bows full of grace the dancing begun
Like whirling sparkles in midair they spun
This beautiful sight I could compare to none
With contented sigh my heart was undone

Enchanted by their music my body began to sway
And from my hiding spot I did so unknowingly stray
Then crushed I was by my own dismay
With sinking heart I watched them flee without delay

Thank you It was just a little something I wrote up a few years ago for someone who wanted to start up fantasy art magazine, but it never got of the ground.
