Body rejecting meat?

For a while now meat has turnt me off, but loving meat all my life, Ive still been eating it I guess from habitual enjoyment. However, since all the energetic changes over the last few months, Ive not been able to tolerate red meat at all, the next day after eating it, my stomach is very uncomfortable and feels like a knot. I break a sweat all over when I go to the loo as my tummy is in such agony and discomfort, its a really horrible feeling. So Ive been staying away from red meat mostly. Although, yesterday I made chicken stew and my tummy was in agony again this morning. So now I am wondering if the only meat my body can take is fish, which I love.

So really I am asking if anyone else has had this experience and if this is my body changing towards vegetarian or cleaner eating?

Look forward to your responses :)

I could never eat meat. When you reach a point in understanding re - the unity of all life and the ensoulment of animals etc., then it just becomes untenable on every level.

Plus there are so many tasty 'fake meat' products (vegetarian/vegan) available nowadays ...

Yes I can see that, I've only recently understood and integrated oneness so this would explain this reaction to meat.

Ok great, so I can still enjoy a cheeseburger ;) hehe, thank you for your response I will definitely look at meat alternatives.

The same thing happens to me on occasions. Meats are harder to digest and sometimes your body will reject it. Red meats are inflammatory and will wreak havoc on your body. Seafood and poultry is much easier to digest but can also cause issues.

My Mom completely changed her diet. Her favorite foods were chicken and shrimp. One day, she couldn't tolerate eating even those and the aroma of cooking meat will give her nausea and vomiting. She became a vegan. It took my dad a longer time but he also became a vegan. He stopped eating red meats, ate seafood and eventually ate only vegetables. Obviously, you'll need to make sure you eat a well balanced diet and be weary of too many tofu products and purine rich foods if you choose those. Talking from a health perspective, red meats really are inflammatory and should be avoided if possible. My dad had lots of ailments and his blood work actually improved greatly after becoming a vegetarian.

Do a 'Google Images' search for vegan cheese and vegan meat substitutes. Amazing the choice that's out there now.

That's what my dad said as well.

Some of the fake meat products really do taste like real meat. It's amazing.

About 7 years ago my digestion was so deteriorating that I decided to move to a vegetarian diet. My digestion improved from that but overweight was still a serious problem. When I skipped out the last bit of dairy, cheese, kilo's started dropping of like snow for the sun. I even thought I could make it back to my original weight when I was 21 but that was a bit too opportunistic.

Overall I feel much better now on a vegan diet. My well being has also improved because of it.

It did take me some time to find my way in protein-rich alternatives. My diet is still changing every month. I discover new things all the time and started to make much of my food myself a while ago. It taste great. I would never go back to animal food anymore.

I can still enjoy the smell of roasted meat and sometimes I think if I shouldn't try it. Just one piece. But my awareness for animal well being has grown and my health is paramount.
So then I just go home and enjoy my home baked vegan cake instead. I do fine.

Mogenblue, thank you for getting back to me I really appreciate your story. Yes my digestion is so bad and I do have extra weight too, I do love dairy, but again, have had intolerences to this lately too. So hopefully my weight will fall off once I stop eating dairy too :) Yeah I feel it will take me some time to get into a routine with this new diet but I know it will be worth it and I'll feel much better in the long run. Thank you :)
