Broken Glasses or Drunken Performance

I don't remember much about this dream or if these are part of the same dream or two different dreams..

One that is staying on my mind is broken eyeglasses. I wear a pair, so I don't know if it's my eyeglasses or not.

This second thing that stayed on my mind is seeing my mom and two of her sisters at some place where people do performances. Then I saw myself performing some song or to some song drunk with this man who I don't remember who he was or don't even know who he was. It was random and weird to me because I don't drink liquor or alcohol at all.

After the drunken performance, the scene switched to being home. My mom and aunts were upset and disappointment at my performance, so she told me to pack my things and move out of the house..

Last thing I remember was packing my things and moving out, one of my sisters appeared out of nowhere and asked what happened and started helping me pack.

Thank you for reading everyone. :)

My impression is that you have picked up a misguided idea that is undermining your well being. You have a broken perspective on how you see something (broken glasses). Likely about some false idea that we need to perform well or be cast aside and abandoned. This is a conditioned response that causes you to conform (drunk) to doing things others expect of you. Since it isn't driven by your authentic self and since we are never really ever able to live up to others expectations you were doomed to pretty much never be good enough in their eyes. You try but fail and feel rejected and abandoned by the people who are supposed to love and protect you. At least from an emotional perspective since all the authority figures (mom and aunts) were female in nature.

It's a pretty common perception in a highly competitive world to believe that our performance somehow equates to our worth. If we fail to reach some expected goal or talent ability we can lose our self worth and feel like an unloved unworthy outcast. The real damage comes though when we look to others for our worth. Life isn't about winning or losing or performing well. Failure isn't a sign of weakness and less worth. We aren't here to prove ourselves and our worth. We are here to give things a go and let the chips fall where they may. Sometimes in our favor and sometimes not.

So I would say try and take a look at how you view your performance in life and whether or not you are trying to be perfect to please others yet feeling like you are always failing them and feeling unloved as a consequence. If so it is time to redefine where your self view comes from to something more self compassionate.
