Thanks everyone for your replies.

There's both the RELATIVE, and the ABSOLUTE.

In the absolute sense, everything is happening perfectly - it's all for the best. And lack of love and 'attack' are only illusions.

Relatively, we do make mistakes.

The divine plan is for All That Is to FULLY experience love and all good things, therefore all possibilities must exist. Without anger, there couldn't be forgiveness; without sickness, there couldn't be such a thing as healing; without ignorance, there couldn't be learning - there'd be nothing to learn. Without ALL possible experiences, both positive and negative, we couldn't have all positive experiences alone, because negative experiences make certain positive experiences possible. This isn't the same as saying that without bad, there couldn't be good; but that bad FORMS of experience make corresponding good forms of experience possible.

Relatively, there's divine justice, but it's simply what works, it's the highest good, NOT punishment. It's 'utilitarian justice,' not 'retributive.' To attack another is to attack and damage yourself. That's a good thing. What you give, you receive, multiplied.

Suffering is temporary. In the afterlife, we'll be happy and free of pain.

There's great glory in coming to earth and suffering profoundly, like a soldier fighting for his country, like Christ going to the cross. It's done in love for the good of everyone.

This one truth is all one needs to understand when it comes to so many life questions. Guilt is an emotional/psychological response; it is a relative truth particular to the human corporal experience. The reality of our guiltless and perfect eternal soul is absolute truth, particular to our soul-spirit aspect.
