meditative state?

Just want to share what happened today while meditating and find out what you guy's think.
I was meditating and at the end i almost fell asleep and just before i felt asleep
I was awake by a shadow that looked like it was doing a mexican wave to get my attention.It could be when you just fall asleep u see things or it was just light that cast a shadow.

My question is that is the meditation state between conscious and just before loosing conscious to fall asleep.
What do u think could be the shadow?

The shadow if it was in an odd place and odd shape, e.g it did not match what should of been the shadow of objects around you, then it sounds like what is called a shadow ghosts, they are earth bound and should be careful that they are not up to no good.

Sorry i should be more specific it was in my minds eye i guess my eyes was closed.It was on the right side of my mind were its arm's went up.
It should not be a shadow around me it and it had an odd shape but middle part was still and movement like left and right of the middle and on top looked like a head.I am not sure it happened just as i almost fell asleep and the movement woke me up.

I just done another meditation no shadow but just before i fell asleep again i
am def sure i went in a meditative state like i never was before.
I am not sure the other times i went in meditative state my mind was just
without thoughts and my mind was still but this time it felt i could feel my cells in my forehead and my whole head vibrating and a light in my head became so clear.
It was like a switch went on like i just lost conscious and the switch went on
and i was in that state for 5 sec and i was awake like never before.

I think my guide was letting me know yesterday that before you fall asleep
there is the meditative state and woke me just at the right time to go
in that state.Yesterday i was for 1 sec and today about 5 sec.
I am so happy at the moment that i am on the right track for sure!!!!
