Hi Black Sheep,

The Buddha said in one sentence:

Quote:
"What I have revealed is: "This is Suffering, this is the Arising of Suffering, this is the Cessation of Suffering, and this is the Path that leads to the Cessation of Suffering."

Source of quote: SN 56.31 Simsapa Sutta.

All the very best,

Sam

Very nicely put and the reference to "one's life" is particularly apt. It implicitly includes both wisdom and compassion.

Serrao's is the closest so far. I'd say it would be something like, "Eliminate attachment, purify your mind, and find the source of true, unconditioned happiness.

I love all the above, and they are all true. my interpretation is this;`This is not the truth, through controlling the mind and then going beyond mind the truth can be revealed`

Very good, this is from the Dhammapada, verse 183:

Not to do any evil, to cultivate good, to purify one’s mind,
this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Thanks. I knew that I'd read it before but I'm not much good at remembering where or quoting sources
