A very close friend of mine, who has been recently graced with remarkable spiritual unfoldings has shared that after the kundalini movement and clear cognition of the grid line we have mentioned earlier ... dividing the body into two geometric halves vertically, he now feels as Ardhanarishvara ... masculine on the right half and feminine on the left.

As of now, for several days, his state of being is as such* (*during meditation), which he seems to have accepted.

In my own case, the experience earlier on when it occurred was as a descent into form of male and female energies entering through the crown and stabilising at the heart centre. It was disconcerting to say the least but the energies attained an equilibrium shortly ... that is, within the meditation cycle itself.

My friend’s experience is on the same lines but not quite really, since the Ardhanarishvara orientation is permanent as it seems so far during his meditation ... at other times he is as he is ... male.

Hahaha ... not a mantra! But then, we can take anything that resonates as a mantra actually!

In a small, close group of friends, one is having this experience of awakening. A vertical grid line running from root to crown over front of body and then from crown to root via Bindu, Medulla etc over rear of body energetically splits body into two.

I too cognise this (from this point on, our individual experience diverged) but in his case he goes farther ... a golden light moves along the grid, looping it a few times after which he becomes Ardhnarishwar ... male on right and female on left, in an actual sense of feeling within.

Thereafter, he enters Brahman, enveloped in the Aum reverberation and then has a friendly one to one chat with Shiva Himself on a daily basis.

I can confirm the experience as authentic as narrated first hand. And what deep wisdom Shiva shares!

My guess is that the Ardhnarishwar initiation is a fast track short cut to higher awakening as a boon granted by Shiva Himself.

Perhaps Shivani Devi can elaborate by instantly recalling the relevant portions of texts of the Vedas or Upanishads

Continuing with the experience of Ardhnaridhwar as narrated by my friend, earlier he felt the central grid line around which a golden light moved after which he becomes male on right and female on left in sense of actual feeling before a oneness experience in Brahman.

Now, as he has progressed, the golden light has become white and he feels himself as Shiva in right and Shakti on left, merged ... in that he is as One with Shiva Himself even while being a separate consciousness. Then he witness the entire Universe from Shivas eyes so to speak.

He sees ascended beings and devas greeting Shiva within whose boundless form he is assimilated.

Needless to say, the state is beyond adequate delineation and transcends all limitation.

I have been listening to this 91 yo Eng Lit professor.
She speaks about her personal exp later on, maybe around 25 min? In 1981, with no guru around, no internet then,
in Wichita KS, not knowing what the heck was going on ...the Lotus opening in her brain
to ecstasy.....for days on end! Alone, little to no guidance.

I found her speaking of Shiva compared to Krishna interesting...Krishna being more gentle for her. 28 min in?

Yes, Miss H! As you may observe from this thread and your own direct knowing of course, the manner of awakening and degree of awakening varies considerably from person to person, even though the generic pattern follows a well known trajectory.

Thanks for the link. A typical 2 hour video by Rick in his Buddha at the gas pump series. Will have a look at it definitely.

I read Dorothy Walters book Unmasking The Rose. To be honest, I found it somewhat disappointing, but others may enjoy it.
