Is the 7th chakra supposed to be opened during attunement 1?

I believe so - I am not a Reiki master but I believe the attunement process does open the Crown & Heart which makes the Universal Life Force Energy more accessible to you ...it opens the channels so to speak. This does not mean your Crown or Heart chakras no longer need attention though ...meditation, intention and self treatments are very helpful in helping to keep all chakras at their optimum .

I ask because I've read from many teachers that that's how it's done. The 7th chakra is supposed to be opened during the attunement.
I've had my attunement a few days ago and the teacher..Grand Master..said she didn't open the 7th chakra. 'We keep that for later'?

She said something about the other chakras needing work, so let's take care of them first, before playing with the major one coordinating every other.
I asked specifically about the attunement, not general work on chakras.
She did tap me on the head, once. lol

well ...not knowing her or having taken her teachings - I certainly cannot offer insight ...but chakras need attention from the owner ...so, a teacher can 'open' a chakra but that can only be temporary as we each are responsible for our chakras ...perhaps your teacher picked up on something she felt you should focus on more right now ...I cannot say - perhaps you should initiate a conversation with her ...or maybe her process is different ...best to speak with her to gain a deeper understanding - blessings!

I know I'll ask when I have a chance to speak to her.
But it was not for me specifically, it's her way of doing things.
I wanted to have the opinion of others because I've read in other places that they open the 7 chakra for reiki. I'm wondering why she's proceeding differently. Is she doing something wrong or does it work anyway? I'm experiencing symptoms of attunement but would it have been better with the crown chakra?
Just wondering. I'm asking others the same question.

After speaking with her - if you are not satisfied with her answers, if it leaves you too confused, maybe seek a new teacher. Put it in the hands of your guides and your intuition & see where it leads you. I'm sure this teacher is part of your journey ...but one's road is seldom a clean clear path in the beginning ...you will find your way.

All personal desire has to be cast aside for this one too open ...... even the desire to do good. INTENTION focused and held in "The DIVINE WILL be done in me" is the quickened way for the 8th to call the 7th to open. |
