Doing Self Reiki during Acupuncture treatment

I started up a weekly acupuncture treatment over a month ago. I decided to boost the level of chi, so I threw the reiki symbols over myself. Then the thought occurred to me to just do reiki on myself while I sit patiently with the needles.

I go in and find a comfortable chair and relax. Then my Acupuncturist comes in and places the needles on my body. I say my prayer and start doing reiki and imagine my hands where they need to be. It's kinda cool and it always helps with the occasional stinging I get from the needles. I can get a full self reiki session in doing it this way.

Just wanted to share another way that you can give yourself a self reiki treatment! I'm going to start doing this when waiting at the doctors office, oil change or whenever I feel like I'm going to be stuck for awhile.

Namaste!

I try to do reiki when I can. It gives me a sense of peace and calm that I need in such a busy world.

Interesting idea, I have had Accupuncture mainly for pain and found it very effective...not really uncomfortable at all.
Recently I had to have an MRI and a CAT scanand I did practise Self Reiki then, Am ok as far as I know.
It is rare that I use it on myself...

Star Wolf, you mean you rarely do self Reiki? I was taught how important treating one's self is ...and to me it is valuable to use daily on myself - it helps to make Reiki a way of life and keeps my vibrations high ...I cannot imagine having Reiki and not using it daily on myself. Maybe because I am young in Reiki?
