No. Just a hundred mile or so of freezing cold sea.
There is possibility. Last year, there were displays of the Northern Lights [Aurora Borealis] much further south than normal. One other oddity about the photos is that it was taken mid-afternoon. The dense black cloud came out of nowhere and the sky behind my back was bright blue and cloudless.

Those are some interesting aspects of the day you took that pic. Did the dense clouds yield rain in your area eventually?
