Awakening question
So, do you ever think or have you ever seen where someone was awakened, enlightened but then circumstances, life made them regress and then they're not as awakened, stunted a bit?

Even after a full awakening, the ego can still intervene and cause disruption.
For some it almost seems like a huge effort is required to remain in that state of awareness, instead of letting it just be and maintain the awakening effortlessly and so they pretty much give up, however they can't because they've had the experience, been on the other side of the fence and so, coming back to 'reality' is an exercise in hypocrisy.
So, they decide to just sit on the fence...not go this way nor that, but the fence is like a razor which slices their bottom to bits and they know they must decide one way or the other....

They post on SF forums.
Seriously, they don't really know what to do. They attempt to be 'non-spiritual' but after the awakening, they see that as a huge farce...they attempt to be 'spiritual' but see that as insincerity..they try to be neither and forever ask 'so what now?'
Usually, they end up just a tad depressed, annoyed with life and just go through the motions of existence, totally detached yet aimless...a shell of a person.

I honestly do not know and that is why 'these people' are stuck right where they are.

Hello,
I suspect that we all go through stages where we need to expand upon our beliefs. That term awakened most likely has several billion definitions.
When we are 'not as awakened' we are ready for bigger reality perceptions, in my view. How much of what is actual reality can a human intellect grasp? The more humble you are the greater the potential is to envision more of what is, as I see it.

I think this is a very profound thought.
For many reasons, I believe 'egocentric' is the opposite of enlightenment. Some common manifestations of this is blaming others, and seeing fault in everyone else. I think this is the source of that biblical quote about a plank in one's eye.
It's easy to judge and blame others when you are both hurting and really don't know anything. Paradoxically, it's only when one gives up on diagnosing and blaming everyone else that true awareness can begin to enlighten one's views.

I love this discussion and glad to see thoughts that fall in line with what I'm observing in a loved one that had me ask this question. Please keep discussing! I think that's how we learn and make sense of it all. So grateful for these forums.
