Why is the day Monday is reserved for Lord Shiva?
Hi Everybody,

Please tell me the reason that monday is reserved for Lord Shiva in Hinduism.

There is a day of the week associated for every deity...

Monday is associated with Lord Shiva because He is Lord Chandrashekhara, the God associated with the moon - He wears the moon in his hair....and the moon is associated with Mondays ----Monday = Moon Day.

Tuesday is Lord Hanuman, Wednesday with Lord Krishna, Thursday is for Guru worship, Friday is for Devi or Goddess, Saturday is for Saturn and Sunday is for worship of the sun.
