A dog who paints for charity!

No, I'm not joking. There really is a dog who paints for pleasure, and his paintings are sold to raise money for a refuge. Here is the amazing article: http://www.globalanimal.org/2013/01/...lence-victims/

Interesting LPC. The pragmatic side of me wonders if the dog had some help, i.e. did the owner load the brush with colour and then place it in the dog's mouth? Anyway, it's inspiring that this is used to help such a charity.

When reading the post it brought to mind another incident involving animals and paint. Decades ago some monkeys were let loose in a studio with paints and blank canvases on the floor. The painted results were hung in an art gallery that was visited by art critics (not knowing who the artists were). The critics mused over the works....some saying things like "oh yes, well of course you can see the bold use of light and dark..." i.e. they were duped!!!

I would love a picture painted by a dog.
And thank goodness for those shelters which now include animal companions (as they all should do) A very worthwhile cause.

That's a lovely story, Peter! The dog seems to be enjoying it.
A gifted and noble dog!
